Heather Hatchett

Heather Park Hatchett, Lecturer and Freshmen Specialist, completed her undergraduate work at the State University of New York at Oswego. She graduated with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi in 2000.

Prior to graduation, Dr. Hatchett completed her pre-doctoral residency year at a VA medical center where she specialized in primary care. Dr. Hatchett then completed a two year postdoctoral residency at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where her primary responsibilities were research, individual and group therapy for students at the counseling center, guest lecturing and outreach programming.

Dr. Hatchett's main research interest is men's utilization of mental health services. She is a faculty advisor to the Psychology Club and Psi Chi.
