Admissions
REQUIREMENTS
Admission to the program is competitive. To be eligible for regular admission, you will need:
- An application for admission to Northern Kentucky University.
- A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the last 60 semester hours.
- Official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate work.
- Up-to-date resume.
- A letter of purpose. This is a 1-2 page statement of how you intend to use the program, how it will apply to your career aspirations, and what specific skills you hope to gain in this program.
- Three letters of recommendation submitted to NKU Office of Graduate Programs or
Dr. Philip Moberg, MSIO Director. - Official Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores with preferred minimum scores of 450 verbal, 450 quantitative, and 3.5 written on the general portion.
- A minimum of nine semester hours of undergraduate coursework in Psychology and at least one course in statistics.
Applicants with a Bachelor's who are missing some of the prerequisite qualifications may be admitted on conditional status as space availability permits.
